FAQs

1.  There is some white powder on my soap, what is that?

That is soda ash -- a harmless by-product of the cold-process soap making.  While every effort is made to remove it before shipping, sometimes it is inevitable.  It does not affect the efficacy of the soap.  Running it under warm water quickly dissolves it.

2.  Why are there multiple listings for some of the same products (e.g. Lemon Poppyseed #1 and Lemon Poppyseed #2?)

I believe in full transparency of my products.  So, I want my customers to know the ingredients of the exact bars they are purchasing.  Sometimes I change recipes because of supply issues or because I have decided to re-formulate it due to another reason.  These are typically subtle differences in look, performance or scent -- but, whenever I need to change an ingredient label, I also create it as a different listing in my store.

3.  Can I order a whole batch (10 bars) of a soap?

You sure can!  Maybe you want them all for yourself, maybe you love them so much you want to give them out for gifts.  Whatever the reason, ordering a whole 3# loaf (10 bars, and 2 'sample' slices) is a great idea.  And we even offer a discount!  To figure out how much a whole batch would be, take the current regular (non-discounted) price on the website, multiply by 10, and then take 10% off that.  Please contact us through the form on this website or at:  www.medfordsoap.com and let us know which product(s) you are interested in.

4. Do you take custom orders?

Yes we do.  We love creating a bar for your perfect occasion.  Contact us through this website or email us at:  michelle@medfordsoap.com and we are happy to design the perfect bar for you.  You get to pick colors, scent(s) and even the name of the bar!  Custom orders will not be produced until payment is received --- although one batch will be prepared so that you can approve what the final product will look like.  Orders will not be ready until 6 weeks after payment is received.

5.  Do you have any business-to-business (B2B) programs?

Yes.  We love partnering with other businesses -- whether big or small.  We offer wholesale pricing to our partners and we can use either regular inventory products or you can design your own bar.  Does your company have a particular color scheme?  Is there a scent you love?  You can even name your own bar! (as long as it doesn't violate any trademarks).  Contact us through this website, or email us at:  michelle@medfordsoap.com and we can work on the design for you.  B2B orders will not be produced until payment is received --- although one batch will be prepared so that you can approve what the final product will look like.  Orders will not be ready until 6 weeks after payment is received.
